GameStop is releasing pre-orders Thursday night! Only game I’ve ever pre-ordered! Normally I can wait a year or two for cheap, used copies of games; but not this one. Just about to start the captain Lilith DLC, probably won’t be able to finish before Thursday night though. Oh well. Still super excited! Anyone else planning on picking this up?

I am, what are you playing on? The dlc was good, it was actually surprisingly long though. I've been playing the presequel again the last month or so, I know it gets shit on but I like it a lot and Nisha has been my favorite character to play so far, not really sure who I'm gonna go with in 3 yet.

PS4. I enjoy the pre-sequel too, but prefer Aurelia. Her special is... maybe a little overpowered but it sure is fun! No idea what character I'm going to use for 3 though.

I’m also not usually one to get games when they’re at all new , but Borderlands is so good that I might pick it up when I get back from Hells Canyon.

Oh, I assumed Capt Lilith was DLC for the pre-sequel (which I never finished) , but I see now it’s for BL2! Neat, I’ll grab that.

I’ll post at least a few pics when I get back.

It’s supposed to be really good and very big. I just started tonight and I’m already enjoying it. Did you play tales from the borderlands?

Sweet! I’ve been in the area. Through Lewiston, and done some backpacking in the wallowas. But never done the whole road.

That’s the way I go home. Usually later. But I’ve found traffic is much better (hov lane) if I leave by 5:30.

I’m waiting. The people who made 2 aren’t exactly the ones making 3. Tiny Tina’s voice is in this one, but her brother was responsible for writing most of 2 and he’s not involved. It may play great, but its the luna tic world I loved in 2. If that dialogue magic isn’t there, it’ll feel hollow.

Valid fears for sure. I know there's a possibility of a big letdown. But I'll live. I haven't bought a brand new game in probably at least 15 years. So why not?

So far I love it. Wouldn't mind more side quests. But that's my only gripe. I don't think I'm terribly far in though. I've only faced a few bosses.

honestly, even if it was just another continuation with no new mechanics, id buy it just for the story. their narratives have always been amazing.

The story was my favorite part of the pre sequel. Yeah yeah cash grab. I liked the story and characters a lot.

Story so far for 3 is on par with previous stuff. Multiple skill trees and specials is sweet. New enemies, creatures, all that. It's pretty cool. The climbing and sliding mechanics are great.

Borderlands! Capt Lilith DLC was pretty good too. 3 and Lilith are both bringing older characters back into the story in small ways at least. Did you play tales also? It's canon for 3.

No idea. I’m on PS4. I enjoyed it, but couldn’t really play for more than an hour or two at a time at the most. If you have the time, my suggestion would be to play them all in order as they came out, including PS and tales.

If you try BL1 remastered, let me know how it is.
